For those that are interested, my homepage (with all the PC links) is:

www.jeffjones.org

When I get over being sick, I plan to update it s'more. Btw, I'm not trying to pimp here, just posting because I'd had some emails asking about it.

I was going to do a site similar to that for the benefit of GG readers.  Spyware, Anti-virus, things that were always asked about...

But then I saw yours and figured, "why bother when this guy has the exact site I would build."  Plus, it's using your bandwidth not mine!  And I don't have to lift a finger to update it.  In the end you made the decision for me!

Great stuff, Jeff.  Invaluable!

Thanks for the compliments!

As for the bandwidth problems I had last month, I figured it out. I had posted  several 60+ MB X-Men Legends trailers that apparently people took me up on  :o

I'm gonna do a 2.0 of the site soon, and it will look a lot different, and hopefully have a lot more helpful info and links.

thanks again.

One last thing, Jeff, the usability and simple interface cannot be praised enough on that site.  On a site built for people looking for help it is always best not to hit them with a crazy interface with tons of nesting, subdirectories, and the like.  Very straightforward.  Best of all, it loads fast!  I'm sure an added benefit for you is that it is much easier to edit/keep track of when it has a standard, no-nonsense layout.

If I can think of anything that might be overlooked I will definately send you a message.  As it is, I think it covers a great deal of what's needed.

Oh don't worry, I'm big on simplicity. Most web sites would be text only, if it were up to me smile

There'll be no java, no CGI, no asp, no nesting, no banner ads, no popups, no cascading menus. Shame so many web designers go into overkill mode on their sites. For some, some measure of programming is warranted, but most websites could be improved by removing all the excess junk.
