I set many of my picture folders to thumbnail view with no auto anything for alignments.  But every time I restart my computer, it goes back to icon and auto can I make it remember each folder's settings?  I already use the Tools-Folder Options-Remember Each Folders View Settings, and nada...I did at one time hit the "Apply To All Folders" button, like 6 months ago (and this has been happening ever since) I need to actually re-apply each folder to default (Reset All Folders button) or what, lol?

Kelly's Korner is a good XP Tweak site and home to (amongst other things) many registry entry changes.

I forget what the default number of folders XP will 'remember' the settings for, but it is rather small. Try the #2 tweak on the LHS to bump it up to 8000 - it should help.
