My Laptop has been experiencing "issues" for the past 3-4 months.  Usually my screen goes black or has vertical shaded bars.  After doing the several different Que card fixes from tech support they finally want me to send it in.  I have reinstalled graphic card drivers, restored to factory image, and deleted and reinstalled the OS.  So off it goes to have the LCD replaced because that is what they think is wrong with it.  For reference it is a dell inspiron 1501

Aw, man, I thought you really had a coffin on the way. I'm disappointed.  icon_frown icon_smile

About 3 years ago my often gloomy retired 70ish mom tried to convince me to buy a cemetary plot next to hers (which is next to where my late father is buried). It was like, "MOM! I'm just not READY for this conversation!"  saywhat

i dont think thats gonna fix it.  that laptop is the same design as the xps, which i have.  my 6800 ultra burned up and did the same thing yours is doing.  i didn't buy a warranty, so i just got a 7800 off ebay and the problem was solved.
