also happens when changing resolution, once in a while. this is only a 'sometimes' problem, but when it happens, it will occur several times in a row. powering off and then powering on the monitor will display the graphics properly again.

suspecting a monitor or video card issue... mmmmaybe even power supply. has this ever happened to anyone?

I have a similar issue with a monitor that a TS flaky when waking up from sleep. It will sometimes act like there's no signal from the computer, but I know that it isn't a video cable or video card issue. It's done this off and on for a few years now.

Ruining language with my terrible words.

I've had problems similar because of a loose connection.
