When ATI switched to this new numbering format, I had no idea that I had dropped behind in graphics power (I have a 9800 XT right now). I had heard that NVidia had taken the lead again, but I don't have an SLI or PCI-Express motherboard (I barely know what that means, even, that's how far behind I am - I did have the dual 3DFX cards once upon a time, and I believe NVidia's SLI comes from their buyout of 3DFX).
So, for AGP, it looks like the Radeon X850 XT Platinum Edition is the cream of the crop (I switched to ATI from NVidia when they took the lead awhile ago, but it seems the tides have turned back. However, I do like Anti-Aliasing and think ATI's graphics look sharper [less blurry, anyway]). I found this

I'm willing to hear opinions about NVidia cards, too, by the way.
I am looking for the best I can get without changing mo'boards. Money isn't a real object, though I'd like to keep it around $500 if possible.
Thanks in advance for help!
