I downloaded the latest version of IE last week. I love the layout, and it seems really fast, but text looks slightly blurry. I was thinking it had something to do with Clear Text or whatever that option is, but I can't figure out how to disable it.
Any help?

How about this: Go into “Tools / Internet Options / Advanced”, scroll down to the Multimedia section, check “Always use Clear Type for HTML”, then restart IE. See if that works?

I'd rather recommend you change your ClearType settings. Windows includes a handy ClearType Text Tuner you can use for this purpose. It lets you choose what you think looks best from a multitude of options, avoiding the blurry look.

Could you provide a screenshot?
I recently had an issue with certain programs causing text to display oddly. Had something to do with the latest AMD drivers - have you updated those lately?

If it's a Cleartype issue, a screenshot might not really work as expected. Cleartype does its thing by manipulating the fact that each pixel on your screen actually consists of 4 lights of different colors, in 4 different locations (essentially quadrupling the amount of pixels on the screen available for text). I'm not sure, but it might not translate well to a different screen.

I tried messing with the ClearType tuner but it didn't help, I'm still getting funny looking text. I'll report more soon.

Right... the issue I had was not with cleartype, and did show up via screenshots, so that's why I was asking for one - just curious if it was the same problem I was experiencing (though I didn't find a solution other than to wipe and reinstall)

Here's a screenshot: http://img25.imageshack.us/i/20782579.jpg/It's not as obvious since the image is compressed, but all my text is blurry. I don't have any of these issues in Firefox.

Is there a zoom function in IE? Can you check to see that it's at 100%?
