Installed Kubuntu and my G15 died

Kind of a random occurence. I installed Kubuntu as a separate boot option to Winxp as one of my current courses is learning Linux.
Immediately after the installation and boot into Kubutu, my logitech G15 keyboard stopped working. I rebooted into Xp, still no worky. It comes on for a split second at the initial statup then boom-nothing.
I tried changing usb ports to no avail but the mouse that I had running off the keboard works fine in the usb port that the G15 was formerly occupying. I'm now using an older keyboard with a serial connection.
I have not tried uninstalling Kubuntu yet as I'm going to need it until the end of the course regardless. I don't think that the G15 is actually dead either but am curious as to what might be preventing it from working. Any ideas?
