Lately I get this error when exiting IE...not every time but most times. It does'nt seem to really do anything because the computer continues to work..even IE...but I have to click ok to close it of the error window stays on top and I cant see.
iexplore.exe application error
the instruction at "0x013999bd" referenced memory at "0x013999bd". the memory could not be "read".
Click on ok to terminate the program.
That error looks fishy to me but i still get it after running my spyware programs. i also have AVG antivirus running.

I get it too, every single time I close IE. I can merely open IE, wait a second, then close it, and it gives me the error popup. I thought it was funny that you close IE, and an error pops up saying there's a problem, and "IE must now close" :roll:
Thankfully, I only open IE to run windowsupdate.

Happens to me sometimes as well. I don't know what it is, but I think there's a bug in the IE that comes with SP2 in XP. It's annoying but I've been ignoring it for months with no real problems.

Spyware maybe? That is a vaild error, I've seen it for other programs as well. An uninstall/reinstall might take care of it.

Actually, I've seen this come up on non-SP2 machines, and even Windows 2000 Adv. Server( IE6x).
I keep meaning to look into it. Ah well.

It's possible that one of the recent IE patches causes this. That would explain it happening on different versions of Windows.
