So, as part of spring cleaning, I'm also cleaning and organizing my computer and files. Normally I'd save this task for after a reformat and reinstall, but I kinda don't need to do that now that I have an SSD.
I'm looking for better, more efficient ways to catalog my plathora of bookmarks, and perhaps other tools and plug in for various browsers that will help.
Currently I use Chrome with the bookmarks bar always on above the main window.
Here's my top tier bookmark category breakdown: Life - Includes general things I use every day, and Social media sub folders. Art - For my 2d and 3d work, so it gets its own category Banking Food - recipes, food blogs to help me think of what to cook. Shopping - links to shops I frequent, along with referral links for websites I frequent like GT and OO, makes it easy to support the places I hang out online. Gaming - Electronic games, console and computers Board, Card, Miniature - Analog games Comics - A leftover, will likely just put under Art. I really don't visit webcomics as much as I used to. Studios - again, for work, these are a list of all the studios local to Socal, usually linking to their Job pages. News Computer - Computer and electronics related websites, tools/software, specific hardware, support, etc. Media - youtube, hulu, netflix links, along with the wiki pages for all the TV shows I regularly watch, and other links like League of Legends esports casts, and Company of Heroes casts. Science - science and skepticism related sites, will probably end up put as a sub forum Work - Catch all stuff for work, and quick links for work. Also now includes all the links for Exoshift, such as contractor portfolios and info for the people I work with. Other Bookmarks - unorganized bookmarks, or temporary
