Google Apps (Gmail Backend for Domain of your choice)

I'm sure most of you are aware of this, but in case someone isn't through Google Apps you can allow Google to act as the email host for any domain you would like.

This is awesome because when I cut ties with Comcast and switched to fiber, I lost my Comcast email address.  Lesson learned about using ISP tied email addresses.  I already owned my name .com and was thrilled to find out i could stop paying hosting costs and continue to use my name.com email address.

This was made even cooler when Google updates their iOS gmail app, so now I have my corporate email going to the default mail app an my personal going to the gmail app. 

I've used Google Apps for 2 years now and  many people I work with were not aware of it.

Yep - this saves me a bunch of bandwidth and cycles on GT.  I use Gmail and have it send as @gamingtrend.com   Best feature ever.

I ran several google apps domains (corporate).

There's all kinds of icky things about it - but for a low price and a simple execution it works alright.

What is icky about it?  Just curious, I use it for my personal email address only.
