okay i installed it and must admit,at the moment,no problems and fast loading screens There is still no loading bar at the bottom right of the screen(i think they got rid of that in FF4 maybe),but my web pages have been coming up that fast that at the moment i am not missing it Hopefully as i go on,it will be just as good CK,what did you update from?,because i went straight from FF3 to FF11...so it might be why i notice how fast the sites are loading

from 10.x, which in retrospect is probably why I didn't notice a difference. kinda miss the days when FF would only update once or twice a year so each update was 'ooooo, new shiney!'

I am finding without the loading bar in the bottom right i am clicking twice on things expecting it to pop up(meaning i sometimes post things twice) so,i looked into it to see if i could get it back somehow, and i found this add-on,it adds the loading bar behind the address bar,it's not bad and i will see how it goes https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/loading-bar/

Ha,nice..installed it
I think i know what's making those tabs disappear
It's when i check my Hotmail, while the MSN page is fine as soon as i click in hotmail to check my emails, they disappear, and after i have sorted my email,i usually start going to my websites from there, but the tabs still continue to be missing...mustn't of noticed yesterday and just carried on,least i know now

Okay i think i am gonna go back (again) to 3.6.28,this firefox has just fallen on its arse for the last 3-4 days, with that 'Not responding' page, which used to happen maybe once a day on my old Firefox, now its happening every 5 minutes and getting worse, cursor either sticks or just stops moving altogether and i am unable to lick on different tabs a lot of the time
weird because it started off so well, sounds like its using up more and more memory maybe(i don't know i am just guessing)

Had to move over to 11 on the home comp. Chrome kept locking my machine up with cache issues, and clearing it didn't help. So it's back to Firefox. I hope this one serves me better, as I really hate the thought of having to use IE for anything other than work.

So does anyone know when Adobe got the bright idea to no longer support Vista 64-bit in its Flash Player? http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/Note:Flash Player does not support 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Vista. I only noticed recently how many sites I run into that I can't view properly in Firefox anymore.

I have had to switch to Google Chrome, something is seriously wrong with my PC,whenever i install a later version of Firefox, its great until a few days after when it just slows to a crawl like there is a memory leak or something(My PC is no power house)
(Ran Spybot and MalwareBytes and it didn't bring back any problems)
However, there are a few niggles but coping with Google Chrome just fine

Problems with Firefox 16Mozilla Firefox browser upgrade taken offline due to vulnerability
The Firefox browser is used by millions worldwide
Users who had upgraded to version 16 were advised to downgrade to the previous safe release until Firefox developers released a fix.
The vulnerability allowed "a malicious site to potentially determine which websites users have visited", Mozilla said.
The non-profit company said that only a "limited number of users are affected".
The download had been taken offline within a day of its initial release, the organisation's UK spokesman said.
He added that no users had been upgraded automatically to the new version.
Automatically upgraded In a blog post, Mozilla's director of security assurance Michael Coates said a fix was being worked on and should be expected on Thursday.
"At this time we have no indication that this vulnerability is currently being exploited in the wild," he added.
"Firefox 16 has been temporarily removed from the current installer page and users will automatically be upgraded to the new version as soon as it becomes available.
"As a precaution, users can downgrade to version 15.0.1 by following these instructions. Alternatively, users can wait until our patches are issued and automatically applied to address the vulnerability."
Firefox was one of the three leading web browsers, with more than 450 million users worldwide, Mozilla said.
Microsoft's Internet Explorer and relative newcomer Google Chrome are its key competitors.
In recent months, various figures suggested Chrome had overtaken Firefox's market share, pushing the Mozilla Foundation's flagship product into third place in the browser race.
