This is a long shot since I don’t believe it is possible but does anyone know a way of disabling images from being copied in emails?  I was given the task today by a client but I’m not optimistic.

I’ve even tried “disable-right-click” scripts, which I know don’t really work, but they don’t work at all in email it seems.

I don't know if it would help much in email, but what some online "art galleries" do is apply an obnoxious watermark to thumbnails or preview images. So the person can't get at the original, un-altered image unless they purchase and download it. Not so much a preventive as a "discouragement" of copying images.
