A friend of mine does a
podcast and he uses
Adobe Audition. He also uses it for his RL job (producing radio commercials). I know at one time he used
Cool Edit. Quite a few of his voice contributors (I'm one) use
Audacity to send our raw files to him as mp3s. Audacity is really easy to use, just hook up a microphone and click the record button and click "stop" when I'm done. If I'm at his house recording, he's the only one using a headset, but he will sometimes have two microphones. Usually, he records my stuff separately, then adds it into the show. We've also recorded stuff over the phone, where we'll sync up (5, 4, 3...) and I'll record on my PC, he records into his and then I send him my file. He syncs them up inside Audition.
He uses
libsyn to publish his podcast.
