So I almost pulled the trigger on this card upgrade While it would be a substantial improvement over my 550 Ti, I'm wondering if it's worth the current asking price. Thoughts? |

On Batman: AA, it benchmarks close to the Radeon HD 7870, which is about five levels above your current card. Tom's Hardware recommends that you be at least three levels apart in order to see a noticeable improvement. And their overall opinion is that the cards are a bit of a wash. |

the 660Ti is a huge jump over your 550. Is it worth $300? Well that's a personal decision based on how much gaming you do on your PC and the upcoming and current games you would use it for.

Consoles? You mean the mythical 720? Not a doubt in my mind that by next xmas, we'll have the PS4 / 720. As for PC gaming, it will then hit a slump and slow down again as the hardware cost of a console is ... oh, I dunno, about the same as a single "near-bleeding-edge" video card alone. |

I just wanted to say thanks for posting this info. I'm looking at upgrading my GTS 250 and the level chart has been a great help. Looks like my card is still hanging tough, at least from my desired price range. |

I'm waiting for the 7s to come out, my 460s in SLi still do a good enough job to run everything Ive thrown at them at higher settings. I have a feeling once the next gen consoles launch we will see the PC Ports really demanding new video cards. That new Unreal Engine will need a 6, but I figure if I wait for the 7 I will be in much better shape.
