I'm wanting to control my childrens pcs by tracking how much time they have spent on a specific site and then blocking internet access only to those sites.

Cyber  patrol just does a global check which is no good and K9 (which is free and very good) doesn't do any time tracking

Anyone any ideas on other software - filtering wise i'm not so bothered just want specific sites tracked

I am pretty sure that Windows 7 has built in tools to limit PC time for accounts designated by you.

I hadn't realised both Vista and Windows 7 had this. However from what I can see it seems quite limiting basically restricting specific times the computer can used. As most of the children's activity is on the internet my router can handle this.

The perfect solution would be to group x sites eg

facebook
bebo
Small Worlds

And it then records the time for those sites, when it exceeds a certain amount those sites are then blocked. Doesn't seem hard but I can't find any software out there that does it.

I did a quick Google for "limit children's computer time" and a number of things came up. For example, www.kidswatch.com seems like it may do what you need.
