I need to upgrade to a larger external drive (current one is only 640gb). I would like it to be USB 3.0 and 2tb or larger in size because I would like to backup images of my 1tb data drive and 256gb C: drive onto it.

Are there any good network type devices out now that could also serve as a server for movies and Itunes to my PS3, ipads, laptop and Iphone as well?

Any advice on either of these?

After doing some research, it looks like I am going to try the WD My Book Live in 2 tb or 3tb flavor. Does anyone here have any experiences with this drive? Is there something else I should consider?

I've got the WD 4TB Live Duo at work... I use it primarily as storage for video projects, but it seems solid enough - no complaints yet.  I've got a friend with the same model who uses it + the mobile app to stream music to his iPhone remotely.
