Best Boardgame:
Leviathans by Catalyst Game Labs
I've played this game a number of times at game meets and it fits the bill for me as a cool to look at and fun to play game. Some would probably call it a miniatures game with all the various expansions available for it, but I think it straddles the line and leans a bit more on the boardgame side. And its from the awesome Catalyst Game Labs - what more can I say.
Best Card Game:
Nightfall: The Coldest War by Alderac Entertainment Group
I don't own it yet, but have played it and found it to be great fun. It's an expansion of the earlier released Nightfall game, but they allowed it to be played stand alone which is much appreciated. I like just about anything cold war related and that this throws horror on top of that seals the deal for me. It kind of reminds me of my Weird Wars RPG settings.

Best Pen 'n' Paper RPG:
The Midgard Campaign Setting by Open Design/Kobold Quarterly
Before this released in October, I'd already been running adventures in the Northlands region and the City of Zobeck found within the setting. All around this is an awesome setting to campaign in and It's great that all the regions are now referenced in 1 book. I love the fact that it has support for both the AGE (DragonAGE) and Pathfinder RPG's. They've also published a Midgard Bestiary for D&D 4e, so I imagine it's playable with that system too. I've personally adapted it to True20 and it plays very well with that system.
