Have you tried Flying Frogs Conquest of Planet Earth yet?  My god that game's just pure cheesy fun in a box.  Plays well solo, has both coop and versus modes, and gives you a piece of technology called "Teleportation Pants" if you're lucky.

I had heard it's basically a reskin of LNoPE, but I'm interested.  I like Flying Frog.

I have A Touch of Evil, but haven't gotten around to playing yet.

I believe you're thinking of Invasion from Outer Space.  Conquest of Planet Earth is nothing like Last Night on Earth.

I watched the Dice Tower review of CoPE just now, and apart from a similar board set up, it seems different.  And it's been added to my wish list.
