I tried this over at OO, and got a few responses (thanks guys) but I thought i'd try it here since this is more of a console forum.
I have an old Sega Saturn Godzilla game import, and need to know a few things from the manual.
If I attach some scans of the manual, do you think you'd be able to translate it?

I can try and put some more time in this, but can you specify what kind of information you really need to know? It'll be too time consuming to do the whole thing. What do you need besides the controls? I'm going to also premptively request that you have a high resolution picture of the top right part of the controls page, as well as page 22, and 23.

Is there any way you can blow up just that circled part? The kanji (the more complicated characters) are hard enough to read as it is in that scan, but it would be a huge help if you could make those little symbols above the chinese-looking characters legible. (They're sort of like cheat sheet phonetic spellings of the characters.)

Ugh, my Japanese has slipped worse than I thought (not that I was ever good at it or anything). I can translate a whopping '1' of those words.'Tonari' meaning 'next to' or 'beside', and who knows maybe I'm even screwing that up. Your welcome, I'm sure the instructions are clear to you now. I'd actually be interested in seeing the translation too.

I could probably do a little better than 'tonari' but I would also need a higher res pic so I can read the hirigana as I know almost no kanji. Stupid chinese characters!!! They should all be banned.

I'm doing this on the fly, don't blame me if I get you killed. ASSISTANCE (Tank Unit ONLY. NPU setting is also possible) This is the command you use to receive support from a support unit. When you select this command, the support unit appears as you can see in picture on the right. When the display is "ON", each support unit becomes a support target, and you can supply the PLU's support unit as "Support" (Page 16).
* For the NPU's support unit, when the support target is "ON" it automatically comes closer and will supply.
* Depending on the map, some support units do not appear. All my years in Japan have finally paid off! I usually charge $100/hr, but I'm providing this sample translation for free.

That's awesome, thanks joe I played a little more of the game right after posting this, and then shelved it. Then I forgot about this thread Thanks again, everyone.
