http://www.quartertothree.com/inhouse/features/261/I followed up someones Quarterlies (GOTY) link for QT3, and in mussing around the site found this interesting article(from quite a while back, but I just found it today). It looks at some of the metagame concepts found in board games and how it's missing in PC RTSes... and even though it's an older article and really only talks about Rise of Legends, I think the point is still 100% valid today.
I debated posting this in PC games, but I think there is more RTS overlap here than boardgame overlap there.
