I haven't made a purchase in several years, but there was a great place to buy games that was pretty cheap. Clever name. I bought ticket to ride, caylus and castles from them if that helps!

Depending on how long ago it was, it may have been Funagain Games, but they are no longer good with prices. The best, IMO, is CoolStuffInc. Their prices are usually the best around. They have the typical deal of spend $100 get free shipping. But they also have a points system where the more you spend over time, the bigger discount you get on games. We're only talking a percent or two (I think I'm at 3% off), but seeing that they already have the lowest prices, it actually makes a difference. Other sites to check out are Miniature Market and ThoughtHammer. You can also go to BoardGameGeek, look up a specific game, and, if you have ads enabled, look at the pricing box on the left hand side. If you click on "Show All" there, it'll take you to a list of prices at various sites.

I think it was ThoughtHammer.
But it might have been funagain. Or...somewhere else. It has been several several years now.

Thing is, FunAgain has the worst prices on the Internet. I'm shocked anyone buys from them at all.

They started out with great prices. And they were the only ones for a long time. Then they built up a customer base, and the prices went up.

Coolstuff Inc, Miniature Market and Boards and Bits are my mainstays. Of those, I'd say CSI generally has the worst prices, but the best selection. MM and B&B vary back and forth pricewise.

I pretty much always order from either CoolStuffInc or TimeWellSpent. CoolStuff has been getting more of my business since we started playing Pathfinder and also you only need $100 to get free shipping.

B&B has free shipping at $99, but MM is $125. Also, the price difference is often negligible, and the % off discount from CSI usually evens it out. I was buying from MM for a while, but then I did the math, and it turned out in the long run CSI was the better deal. There are a couple of price comparison sites you can try, too: BoardGamePricesBoardGameSearchThe first one is limited in the sites it uses. The second is annoying because you have to do them one at a time.

I mostly order from Starlit Citadel because they're located in my city and even though they're predominantly an Internet store they offer back door pickup for local customers. Besides, their staff are great folks to chat with on a lunch break. I've also ordered from Coolstuff Inc and Miniature Market and been happy with both - especially Coolstuff who have a truly excellent buy back system for miniatures.

Starlit Citadel also has the cute employee who does the reviews online with the other woman (who I understand is an actress in a geeky web series).

Of the 2 I've only met the women who actually works at the store. She's a very bright gal and the best friend a customer ever had. Actually all 4 staff that work there are very knowledgeable and dedicated gamers and 1st rate for customer service.

I've found it to be very useful for finding out about new games, learning how to play them, learning if I would like them, etc. Now that there is a way to get games fairly cheap AND have part of the money support WiP, I'm happy.

I pretty much only order from CoolStuffInc and Boards & Bits. Although, Boards & Bits is slowly fading. It actually used to be only from B&B, but then he move his warehouse and now it takes the same amount of time to deliver as CSI. (I used to pay for regular FedEx shipping, and it only took one day, now it takes 2 days).
