So I get a free trip to GenCon this year courtesy of a buddy. I've been to much smaller gaming conventions, but it's been a while. Any suggestions on what events to sign up for? True Dungeon? Hickman's Killer Breakfast? Tournaments?
Anybody else going?

True Dungeon sells out really quickly IIRC, so if you want to have a chance of getting registered for that you'll probably want to be ready to register the moment the registration goes live.

I haven't been to a game convention the size of GenCon for aeons, so I'd probably do events that you can't see at the smaller shows like True Dungeon. If you like boardgames there's a few that are slated to debut at the show
Wizard of the Coasts next D&D boardgame, Dungeon Command: Sting of Lolth, is due out a few weeks before the show and they're supposed to be showcasing it and running game events there with it. It's another game along the lines of Castle Ravenloft, Wrath of Ashardalon, and The Legend of Drizzt, but this game is supposed to be more faction based and feature war bands.
And if you're a fan of Star Wars and like miniature games at all, Fantasy Flight Games is supposed to be debuting and showcasing their new Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures game. They're also supposed to be running events for it.

I'll be there Thursday through Sunday. I've schedule a bunch of FFG demos (descent, nexus, rex, star wars, etc.) and am looking forward to trying some other new stuff that's debuting at the con.
