A friend of mine just picked up Doom.  We were going to play it tonight, but he wimped out on me.  I'm looking forward to trying it, especially since it should help tide me over until my copy of Descent comes in.  That's one I'll probably be spending some long nights with.

I can't wait for Decent to come out. smile  Even better...they used the same tile forms for Doom...more dungeon terrain!

Between me, a friend, and another guy I know, I'll probably have access to at least three sets.  Combine that with the Doom set that just got picked up, and the Doom set I'm thinking about getting, and you've got some crazy dungeons.

Acutally, now that I'm thinking about it, it might not be much of a stretch to combine Doom and Descent, since the system is essentially the same.  Marines and knights against archviles and dragons.  Now there's a concept!

One problem is that they changed the way the tiles interconnect a little with descent, so there's no guarantee they'll match up.

Doesn't mean your adventurers couldn't be transported into a strange dark place with steel walls.  slywink

Played Doom this week, and enjoyed it. I'm aiming to snatch up Descent as soon as it becomes available too. smile
