I agree. If they even reinvested a small fraction of their profits into the industry, we would all win...seeing new game concepts and ideas hit the market.

Yeah about 10% of the time, Harris does write something I completely and totally agree with. This is one of those times.
The other 90%, I really can't read his blog because it makes me angry.

Well, Nintendo bought DigiPen, which is where a lot of future game designers/developers are right now, so that's one good thing.
Also, regarding Will Wright, he was turned away with SimCity when he had the idea. So, he said screw it and basically made the entire thing himself. Didn't he then get it published through Brøderbund, who eventually turned him over to EA? It wasn't exactly an easy road for him in the beginning.
