GR's 2012 President's Update
was just posted yesterday on their front page. Typically in past years this annual update has given a lot of focus to their own IP such as Mutants & Masterminds and their Freeport setting for multiple RPG systems. This year is quite a bit different as their licensed Dragon AGE and Song of Ice and Fire Role Playing (SIFRP) games were prominently featured 1st and 2nd and both were given coverage equal to M&M.
The impression I'm getting is that Dragon AGE and a Song of Ice and Fire are really taking off and possibly eclipsing their own IP's - no minor achievement considering M&M is ofter ranked in the top 10 selling PnP's. They've also announced that they'll be releasing their own new in-house fantasy setting for the AGE engine in 2013. As well SIFRP will now be branded with the name of the novel and TV series.
This May we'll be releasing "A Game of Thrones Edition" of A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying. This takes the existing core rulebook and appends the entirety of the Peril at King's Landing adventure.
From what's stated it also reads like they'll be releasing content that will allow fans of SIFRP the option of playing it with a more magic-heavy flavor.
Lots to look forward to if you're a fan of any of those PnP RPG's and settings.
