figured some of you may be interested.  they made their goal in about 13 minutes, and look to keep going.  the only tier they have is $1 or $100, but it looks like you'll get a ton of minis for that $100.  I'm tempted to jump in just in case I ever get a table top group going again.

I got in on their first Kickstarter(last year) and the miniatures are definitely worth it.  They are very nice quality plastic miniatures.  Now I just need to get myself to paint them.

$1,075,708 pledged of $30,000 goal so far, and it only launched yesterday.  24 days left, I wonder how high they'll go.

It's at 1,112,040 now, so yeah this is one ridiculously successful kickstarter.

I passed on this 1st time, but I'll almost certainly opt in on this one. My only hesitation is that my kids and I have been buying Reapers for the past year and we've found their lead figures to be better quality. The detail of the bones figs are virtually identical as they use the same molds, but I've had problems with bones figures that come with parts bent out or shape or that are leaning. Typically you can fix this with the old tried and true technique of putting them in boiling water then in in ice cold water while maintaining the correct position. However, for some reason that doesn't work on Bones minatures - they always return to the incorrect position. It's as if the resin Reapers uses for Bones has what's termed "memory" for wire cords and batteries. $100 is such a big saving over what these typically cost, so I'll just live with the few that are deformed.

You should just be honest - admit it, you want these so you can play dragons & wizards in you sandbox.   Tongue

The boiling method works perfectly for Bones. I should know. I boiled roughly half of the 250 or so miniatures I got in the first Kickstarter. Remember to use ice water to quickly cool them off though, and larger minis need to stay in the hot water for a little while.

I tried exactly that a number of times using the same technique that always worked for me for SW minis & Heroclix minis. The ones I tried to fix to no avail were the big leaners though, so maybe they were just too far out of shape.

I had Bones that were bent 90 degrees. You may want to use something to bend them a little extra in the opposite direction if they're very bent to begin with.

they've got a pledge calculator up now to see how much money you can spend.  I am very tempted by the first expansion set...
