I just noticed that the board shows an hour behind my actual time. I had chosen GMT -8 long ago since I live in Oregon. Maybe CG doesn't compensate for "springing forward"? Or am I missing something?

To fix it, I changed my setting to GMT -7, but that'll probably be wrong when we "fall back".

Not everyone has daylight savings at the same time, or indeed at all smile As far as I know you used that setting precisely as was intended.

...what if you could go back in time, and take all those hours of pain and darkness and replace them with something better?

the phpBB software doesn't support an auto-switch for DST by default.  i don't know if you can add that feature, but it might be something worth looking into...

until then, you have to adjust your timezone manually if you want the time to be correct...unless you live in arizona, hawaii, or parts of indiana.  i like to think the phpBB people were just looking out for the minority this time slywink

phpBB let's you configure the time according to where you're at in relation to GMT.  If that number changes, such as when DST occurs, you need to update your profile.  For instance, I was set to GMT-5, but after DST my relation to GMT is actually -4, so I updated it.

And as far as I know, I've never seen an auto-switch mod for DST, except maybe in one giant mod that has a whole lot of stuff we don't need.
