Our ad script is timing out. We've got a ticket open with the vendor to see that resolved.  Dreadfully sorry.  We will deactivate it until they fix it.

On the other hand, we've cleaned up quite a bit of code this morning and did some serious optimizations across the board.  Cut the page load time significantly.  Got some other goodies in the works.  We know this has been an issue, as has stability.  It'll all be for the better.

Thanks for your patience all.

Just FYI, it's taking between 10-30 seconds for each page to load even with the ads disabled.

Yeah, I ran another test. The problem wasn't strictly the ads...

Seen this a couple times this morning.  Hoping it's not some sort of new internal blocking scheme they're putting in place.   ninja

what i have noticed with this,is as follows

when i first go on Gaming Trend(morning-UK),its fine,no problems, until i use the search function

My search never loads up and i either wait it out and get the CloudFlare screen or quit the entire page attempt to reload GT and get the CloudFlare screen that way...this is the only time i get the CloudFlare page AFTER i have attempted to search for something in the AM

Afternoon and Nights when i use the search function is fine,i can't really explain why its always early morning when the search function stalls

been noticing the search run slow myself occasionally, but never at what could be considered a consistent time.  I imagine it is later than what MO considers the morning though, it'd be more evening/night EST time.

for me it is on the forums.  right now search is running quickly, but there are times where is can take a minute or more to get results.  I always chalked it up to the 'guests' (spiders or whatever they're called) doing their search engine thing and taxing the system.

yeah sorry search on the forums,I usually go into a specific forum and search that forum

In the morning it sticks on 'Waiting for Gaming Trend' in the bottom Left, and then eventually it goes to that CloudFlare page, and then i quit  altogether try going on Gaming Trend again and it takes a long time and then goes to that CloudFlare page

So i go browse other sites, and come back 10 minutes later and its fine

As said, this only happens early in the morning 7-10am ish UK time

it's usually me hitting the internet for the first time, seeing new stories everywhere and i want to post about it on here, first i try and see if there is a topic about it already, and that's why i use the search alot

Awesome. Well, realize that we are at the end of our rope with this forum software- not really very much that can be done with it at this point. We have a solution we want to use, but we are a little ways away from that.

The search results.  We are looking at a potential large-scale fix for the search functionality.  Stand by.

As for your method, that's ingenious!  smile

Actually, that's not quite true. We're looking at a fix for search on the main site, not the forums. The only fix for the forums is to get off this horrible software.

I know someone who keeps getting keys. Problem is that as of late, they are just 'go all log in and crash the server' tests. Tongue
