Shorthand BB codes

I don't know if it's possible, but it'd be really nice to have short-hand codes for some of the more used codes.

eg:

Code:

[quote][/quote] could also be [q][/q]

Quote, code, color, if at all possible.

Doing peer edits on reviews ain't so easy, buddy.

Plus, once I'm on the keyboard, I tend not to stray to the mouse (and I often compose in the Quick Reply box, thus no buttons to use).
