Haven't since the big redesign back in 2011. We've wanted to bring it back, but it hasn't really been a high priority and it's so hard to maintain. You are the first person to mention it since it went away, if that gives you any idea of why we pushed it down the priority list...

I liked it too Soulchilde, and I wouldn't be abject to bringing it back, but if we did it'd have to be community run.  Everyone pitches in and keeps it updated kinda thing.  It's very time consuming for one or two people.

I'd pitch in if I knew where to look.

fwiw, I dug this one up.  it seems to have the most information.  the layout is just one big list though, so you'll be reading a wall of text.

When I was maintaining it I used an amalgamation of several sites - ToTheGame.com (they have European release dates), Gamespy (at the time  *Fist Shaking*), EBGames, Amazon, and a few others and sometimes kinda winged it.  My guesses are as good as theirs.  smile

If there is serious interest, I'll spin up a community-editable calendar that we could maintain together.   I just know that I don't have time to do it myself and write awesome content too.  smile

maybe there should be a site dedicated to something like this? Maybe even letting us know when various games go Gold...

Just having the calendar would be a start.  how would the content be updated?  per day, per title or uploaded?

Probably the easiest would be to put together a Google calendar, give folks access, and add games to the Tuesdays and Sundays (thanks Nintendo!).   What do you think?

Seems like ideally it would be nice if you could also specify broader categories for games that haven't been fully locked down.  Things like Q12014 or Y2015 and such, and then be able to include all games also releasing in the months included in those broader categories when viewing them.

Probably not possible with a simple Google Doc, more of a "would be cool" thing.

ok, so after putting the individual colors into the calendar for most of February's release list so you could visually search for the platform, I learn that they don't let embedded calendars show them.   Head meets wall

I'm going to clean them up and condense them down, which should help with platform-spamming releases like Lego "Next game"

Any plans to post this up on the main page somewhere?

I've run aground on the updates but have been adding recent dates manually.

I'll hit up Mike and see where we are with this.  We just finished up SXSW so we are both in the "OMG catch up on work" phase.  smile

Updated with everything I can find through November, so basically this year.

Can we make it public?
