Posting issue - text box constantly snaps back to the top

Anyone else had this problem before or know how to fix it?

I'm typing away at my message in the main message box.  I get to the bottom of the box and keep typing.  The box briefly scrolls down, and then jerks back to the top.  It proceeds to do this at every letter I type.  If I stop typing and manually scroll the box down to the bottom, it will happily sit at the bottom, but then jerk back up as soon as I click on the box to bring the cursor down.  For some reason it seems to always want to reset to the top of the scroll bar no matter what.  It makes it very annoying to type out messages, and I usually resort to copying everything out to notepad and finishing it there, and just pasting it back in.

are you using IE8?  if so turn compatibility view on.
