and just like that, no warning or notice, my "Do I or Dont I" thread is gone. Nice to know censorship is alive and well.  Not sure what part of the CoC it violated. I clearly posted and asked whether to do something which may involve a fellow poster. If the mods had a problem with it, they could have just chimed in or Pm'ed me with their concern. As it was, I heard no objections...so I continued. I guess they can then arbitrarily delete anything they want. Good to know... Seemed like just a little innocent poke at a members mystique. I meant, nor was there any, disrespect in the thread. Guess some things and/or posters are just off limits, eh? |

Look, dude, the thread was nuked because the picture you posted had a member in it.. and I was foolish enough to make a sincerely regrettable comment about it. I got three frantic PMs to edit my response in the thread.. and KD just nuked it. I also got a warning.

Stimpy started thread teasing about the identity of someone in a picture. Jokes were made. Picture was eventually posted. More jokes were made. And then I was stupid enough to make a joke about the woman in the picture. Thread went into meltdown. I now have a egg all over my face.. and a big fat COC warning.
Last time I make a comment about anyone in any picture in here!

If he had a problem, he could have posted or PM'd me and said something. And I never would have done it.
Dont know how I'm supposed to interpret "Interesting...." as any type of warning.
And...lets not forget, the link to the photo was IN THE MEMBERS OWN THREAD!!
I didnt do any detective work to hunt the photo down. It was there for anyone to click on and see.
There was no malicious intent on my part. Just thought it would be kinda funny to post it, given all the hoopla about his picture taking ability.
How any of that is wrong....I dont know.
I could see the turn the thread was taking though...so I guess it was probably for the best.
To anyone who may have been offended by my lame attempt at a fun thread, I apologize.

There are pictures of me out on the net, so I figured it was me. If it was, I'd have been fine with it and rolled with the punches. There were some comments that rubbed me the wrong way that I found to be derogatory towards Pete's wife so I nuked it from orbit. I could have locked it, but nobody needs their feelings hurt, true? Tact goes a long way... I didn't send you a message about anything Stimpy - I warned PM_GMR. That wasn't supposed to be public, but he made it so. Can you imagine if Pete's wife had seen your comment? I can't imagine one of my best friends crying over something so tasteful. Come up with a good reason not to completely destroy an effectively meaningless thread and I'll gladly listen to it. |
