I have to cancel my payment subscription. The card I'm using is going to jack my rate to a variable rate, so I need to shut down all activity on it. Once I get stuff settled, I'll see if I can get something together to make up for the 6 months that were left.

heh, for some reason, my webmail messes up the paypal mails I get every month about this - it always says "You have paid 250 dollars to gamingtrend in subscription"... I nearly always get a heart attack out of this :-D

Okay I hope my paypail payment went through. Anyways, I'll set up a monthly recurring payment while I'm away training.

If USMC Kato can manage to set up regular payments, then dammit, so can I!Okay, I lied there... but I'm sure that sporadic, spontaneous payments - more like a surprise, lol! - are equally well accepted. I spend a good portion of my day with this community - and nothing can stop me from helping to keep it going. And anyone who has the income to help support the site , a dollar here, or a pound there (perhaps some yen as well!), can help us keep our fix going! So, a one-time deal will be gratefully received, I'm sure! Don't feel bad if you can only add verbal support, or a dollar or two... each to their own capabiities, but I'm sure it all helps!

It does all help - greatly. Thanks to everyone who keeps this place alive. We are working hard to make GT self-sustaining over the next two quarters - hopefully this is a very short term thing.

I'll have to temporarily cancel my recurring payment before I leave and make sure I can figure out how to get paypal set up with a new, overseas, bank account before resuming.

So here we are once again. Many of you made a year-long commitment to the site. With some of the ups and downs with the site and my personal life, it helped in ways I can't begin to describe. Our community has grown, and thankfully our expenses have not. Times are very tough, but I'm once again putting out the call for donations and subscriptions. We have some more exciting things on the immediate horizon that are pretty exciting, and I look forward to being able to reveal them to you very soon. 2010 is already looking like a pretty stellar year in gaming, and I'm glad we are able to provide a gaming community for you all. Thanks again. Please click here (or the button above) to pledge. Please PM or email me if you are going to do a recurring monthly pledge so that we can account for it.

Do the subscriptions time out at some point? I subscribed last year but I didn't know if I need to do it again.

Yes, they do - and Paypal doesn't bother to tell you either. They last for a year.

That hurt way less than I expected. You should post that donation post at the beginning of the first page too.

Knightshade, thanks for making GT what it is today If you are a nerd, Kato, then so am I! I'm not always moving around the world (more like rarely leave the house) but I regard GT as family also. KD - I'll stick to the occasional donation mode, since being on a "fixed income" rarely means that one can guarantee a "fixed amount" in any given month...but, you, your staffers, and the members are more than worth it!
