No Contact Information

I recently had problems getting my account activated. Apparently the activation email either never made it to me or wound up in my junk folder and I never saw it. At any rate, I was stuck with a half-registered account. I then discovered that there is no contact information on the site if this occurs. The Forum FAQ tells you to contact the Administrator - but how!? You can't use the "Email me" buttons without logging in. There's no contact info on the main page.  Emails to "webmaster" and "root" @ consolegold.com bounced.

It ended up that I found a consolegold.com email address via google. Luckily that person was nice enough to help me out. I would humbly suggest that there be some way for someone not registered at the site (or partially registered, as I was) to contact someone who works here.  If there is already a method to do so, then I would suggest making it more obvious, as I could not find it.

We've found out that @hotmail and @yahoo (and a few other 'freebie' mail sites) simply toss our e-mail confirmation into the trash, thinking it's an automated spam message.

But, yes, there is no true way to contact us short of just stumbling upon our e-mail addresses that I know of. We used to have an 'about us' section that went by the wayside when the site was redesigned.

I would just add a link "Contact Us" at the bottom of the pages .

That's the default PHPbb behavior.

Normally i try to avoid messing with PHPbb but until I can get a chance to talk to Ron about what he wants to do about that long term I threw up a couple quick hacks.

1. On the registration page - added some text noting that free email accounts may mistakenly identify the confirmation email as spam.

2. Added email addys for Ron (director) and Loren (lead moderator) in the FAQ's under "I can't login"
