I'm not seeing this behavior in Opera. Tried restarting the browser? It could be stuck in a popup window with the "#new" identificator.

I'm seeing it in IE8 when I use the 'new' post shortcut from the topic list and in spite of this it's not something I recall seeing before. Meaning, it is fairly new behaviour. And ironically, this post shows #new?#new in the tab.  And after editing this for a typo it now shows #new?#msg69377 which is again not behaviour I recall ever seeing here. |

Yeah when I click on a new post now, it starts at the last post, but then I jump right to the beginning. All new posts and even in forums. I'm using Chrome 5.0.375.99 |

Same here. Firefox 3.6.6 on Windows. Also, when I post the "refreshed" page takes me to the top of the page, not to my post. |

Same here with the latest version of firefox (ie 8 seems to be fine though). I also noticed the Starcraft 2 banner started causing the screen to scroll over automatically in firefox, not sure if that's related though. Stupid work monitor with lousy resolutions.

Good, so I'm not going crazy. NoScript is going insane saying that there's some underlying code and about 90% of the time, whenever I hit the New button, it drops to the bottom and then goes back up to the Starcraft ad.
Current fix in Firefox - download the User Agent Switcher plugin and change it to iPhone 3.0. Yeah, it's a poor man's fix (and it'll drop you to mobile versions of sites once you leave GT), but it works. Just flip it back to default whenever you intend to leave.
