Is there a rule about no political discussion in Off-Topic?

Just wanted to check--I was about to make a political post there and realized there's like NO posts of that type there on the first page.  Is there a rule about it?  Trying to be the considerate newbie here .  Please don't hurt me .

There is no rule, just keep it civil.  We've had some topics degrade, but as long as the discussion remains civil, there is no problem with religion/political topics.

Yeah it's been a while since we've had any but trust me there's been plenty.. the Bushists usually come out in full force!
