Is the front page loading slowly for anyone else?

Using Chrome.  The front page takes about 7 seconds to load.  Forums, etc work great.  Other websites, Fark, CNN, QT3 all load quickly.

Is it just the index page? Are you blocking javascripts at all?

It's the main front page.  Everything loads, pics, top menu bar, articles, etc fast but I'm unable to interact with anything for several second after it all loads.  I'll check Javascript

Still doing it.  I've cleared cache.  It seems to have something to do with the Facebook integration, maybe, because that's whats on the bottom left of the screen while it's paused.  I'll try it in other browsers.

I have a javascript in place that 'lazy loads' the external API calls such as twitter and facebook. It should load all of the rest of the page THEN load those components. It should NOT prevent you from interacting with the page at all.

Yes, me as well. Front page locks up for around 10-20 seconds to the point I can't do anything else on the computer, can't exit out of it, go to another tab, or minimize to desktop, have to wait it out until it's finished.
I try to just bookmark the forums directly now because of the delay.

Sometimes I still get the main page by accident and when I realize I do I usually go grab a drink, do some laundry, and catch the Titanic if it's playing again, then head back to the computer and the GT main page has finished loading.

Chrome and Safari hangs for about 30 seconds, but oddly enough Firefox is ok.

Same, as Firefox is pretty much the only browser I use as IE seems to catch too much malware. Hit the main page by accident again which locked up the entire computer. Went out and grabbed lunch while I waited for it to finish loading.

I'm going to be looking at script load order more in depth soon. I'm really at a loss on this as I can't replicate the issue...
