Ok.  Taking more drastic action.  I'm disabling attachments and uploadable avatars for now.

Well, I got my first goof today. I was just about to upload a pic of it when I realized you disabled attachments. So this is what it was (it appeared at the very top of the page):

Quote
HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Wed, 13 May 2009 00:38:08 GMT Server: Apache/1.3.41 (Unix) PHP/5.2.5 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_ssl/2.8.31 OpenSSL/0.9.8b X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.5 Expires: Mon, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT Cache-Control: private Pragma: no-cache Last-Modified: Wed, 13 May 2009 00:38:08 GMT Content-Encoding: none Vary: Accept-Encoding Keep-Alive: timeout=15, max=99 Connection: Keep-Alive Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 9bb2

Happened on this thread at 05:38:08 PM Arizona time (or about 8 minutes ago from this post).

EDIT: Saw it 3 more times while surfing tonight. Good luck stamping this out.

I'm getting a lot of these errors today, showing me garbage text.

Let me know what I can do to help with any narrowing down of the issue

Even worse today than before, and I give up on my Avatar, it never survives for long. Getting this when marking a forum read:

Quote
HTTP/1.1 302 Found Date: Wed, 13 May 2009 13:04:31 GMT Server: Apache/1.3.41 (Unix) PHP/5.2.5 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_ssl/2.8.31 OpenSSL/0.9.8b X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.5 Expires: Thu, 19 Nov 1981 08:52:00 GMT Cache-Control: private Pragma: no-cache Location: http://www.gamingtrend.com/forums/index.php?board=20.0 Content-Encoding: none Vary: Accept-Encoding Keep-Alive: timeout=15, max=98 Connection: Keep-Alive Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html 0

And something like this at the top of the page almost constantly, along with the big font it brings:

Quote
HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Wed, 13 May 2009 13:05:16 GMT Server: Apache/1.3.41 (Unix) PHP/5.2.5 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_ssl/2.8.31 OpenSSL/0.9.8b X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.5 Expires: Mon, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT Cache-Control: private Pragma: no-cache Last-Modified: Wed, 13 May 2009 13:05:16 GMT Content-Encoding: none Vary: Accept-Encoding Keep-Alive: timeout=15, max=99 Connection: Keep-Alive Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 10638

Find it interesting that the only avatar that seems to be nuke-proof is CeeKay's. As someone else noted, kind of spooky when all you see is his ass in a thread.  icon_wink

lol.  instead of uploading it I used the option to point it to an url.  I think some other people who use their XBL gamertag as their avatar are having the same luck with keeping it.

Ok, I'm uploading the cleaned files shortly.  Hold on, I suspect it'll have some bumps for me to iron out.

I have been totally unaffected by all of this.  Isn't that a bit odd?  Is it a Windows thing?  I'm always on this board from Linux computers.

Ok, I've rebuilt the forum from bare bones.  Let's see how she runs.  Let me know if you see any code injection nonsense.

Thanks for your patience guys!

For me almost everyone's avatars appear as red X's.  And when I try to reload mine I get an error message:

Yea, I've got the avatar thing locked for a minute.  I want to make sure we've killed off any damage, then we can get the avatars set up again.

Oddly enough I just got this entering this thread.  It fixed by backing out and opening again...don't know

Template Parse Error!
It seems something has gone sour on the forum with the template system. This problem should only be temporary, so please come back later and try again. If you continue to see this message, please contact the administrator.

You can also try refreshing this page.

and

Unable to load Themes/default/index.template.php!
