Deleting posts- I think I'm missing something.

When I hover my cursor over the edit button on one of my posts I see the description "Edit/Delete this post".  However when I click on it, I don't see any way to delete a post.  Do we have this ability here?

I'm asking because I'd like to update my list and bump the Books Read in 2004 thread without taking away someone else's 1st page "prime real estate" that everyone seems to want in that thread by having too many conversational posts on the 1st page.

There is a check box at the bottom near the submit button that says 'delete this post'.  Check it and then submit.  The post will be deleted.
