Can we get more focused reviews on small-to-mid sized games?

Check out this blog. Squidi's got a point about the fact that the world doesn't need another HL2 / Halo2 / GTA:SA review.

A focus on the smaller titles seems prudent, and I hope you guys can accomodate this. I tend to avoid reading reviews of blockbusters, as I've already looked at the feature list (and maybe a few scores). Ultimately my mind was already made up before I started looking, and rarely does it change.

Focusing on the smaller name titles (mid to small) would seem to be a more fruitful review process, as it brings to light the titles people will wonder about, and may actually stop to read, rather than just skim looking to have their concerns/excitement confirmed by another person.

I dunno, just an idea, I guess. What do you think?

Specifically what small to mid-sized titles have we missed?  We didn't rush to press with our 'blockbuster' titles like Halo 2, or Killzone, so I don't know that we fit in the 'me too!' demographic.  I know we have some titles coming up like Bust a Move, Spyro, Tron, etc.  Would those more fit the bill?

Yes. I love the fools-gold, nugget, and pure gold deliniations... I'd like to see the lesser games get the banner for a few days. I dunno, it's just a suggestion. Maybe a new title like hidden treasure or something..

I'm not sayin' ya guys are me too sites, and honestly I don't think you guys are sittin' in the "only the AAA" titles get a decent review, but I'm getting tired of seeing the lamda logo on every effen site I go to. Ya know? Anyways, keep up the good work.

I fully understand - not to worry, the lamda won't be up there long.  We have a whole host of new reviews upcoming that will take its place.
