I think someone else had this issue.

When using IE8 the text box jumps up and down when trying to type in the text box once it scrolls.

Very annoying.

I had the same (as noted, very annoying) issue, but putting it into 'Compatability mode' for this site fixed it for me. It's the box up top at the end of the address bar with what looks like a 'broken' page / piece of paper.

This has also fixed the issue of it returning me to the top of the thread after posting.
