In support of your support of the site, I've installed three Amazon links that will allow you to quickly link to the GT support Amazon stuff for Music, DVDs, and general search.  If this proves to be a stable thing, we'll add it to the other theme.   You'll see the icons if you are using the default theme.

I appreciate you guys using our Amazon affiliate ID - it helps a great deal.   Thank you.

Something like that:

Code:
[amazonsearch][amazondvd][amazonmp3][/amazonmp3][/amazondvd][/amazonsearch]

There will be buttons though and the affiliate ID will be auto-embedded.  You just highlight the appropriate text and click the button - bam, done.   If it remains stable this weekend I'll enable it fully and we'll run with it.  smile

Functionality added and set up with our affiliate ID.  Now to hack the forum so the folks using the black theme see the buttons. smile

I know the icons look terrible in black, but the functionality is there for Black Theme users.  I'll see if I can find some better icons for you.  smile

OK, count me still confused  icon_frown here's the first attempt to use them, it seems to be trying to run a search instead of going directly to the item.

I tried it a bunch of different ways.

the first is trying to link directly to the item,:
A Fine Mess by Kate Voegele

the second is using just the link and the MP3 button:
http://www.amazon.com/A-Fine-Mess-Deluxe-Version/dp/B0029P96CM/ref=amb_link_84378731_2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=browse&pf_rd_r=18J9Q28RR89RZ7QSRBD2&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=477669531&pf_rd_i=163856011

and the final 3 are using the buttons in the order they show up (search, DVD and MP3):
A Fine Mess by Kate Voegele
A Fine Mess by Kate Voegele
A Fine Mess by Kate Voegele

none of them seem to be going directly to the daily deal I'm trying to get it to go to.  is the amazonsearch button going to be the closest we can get with them?

here's the above's code for easy reference:

Code:
the first is trying to link directly to the item,:
[url=http://www.amazon.com/A-Fine-Mess-Deluxe-Version/dp/B0029P96CM/ref=amb_link_84378731_2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=browse&pf_rd_r=1BHG8Q9GA5HA4WYQQVQF&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=477657511&pf_rd_i=163856011][amazonmp3]A Fine Mess by Kate Voegele[/amazonmp3][/url]

the second is using just the link and the MP3 button:
[amazonmp3]http://www.amazon.com/A-Fine-Mess-Deluxe-Version/dp/B0029P96CM/ref=amb_link_84378731_2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=browse&pf_rd_r=18J9Q28RR89RZ7QSRBD2&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=477669531&pf_rd_i=163856011[/amazonmp3]

and the final 3 are using the buttons in the order they show up (search, DVD and MP3):
[amazonsearch]A Fine Mess by Kate Voegele[/amazonsearch]
[amazondvd]A Fine Mess by Kate Voegele[/amazondvd]
[amazonmp3]A Fine Mess by Kate Voegele[/amazonmp3]

Hmmm...it does run a search.  I'll research and see if I can find a solution where you can feed it a product directly.
