You can suggest up to 10 last gen titles that should have a sequel made.
This isn't meant as a discussion thread until AFTER I open a poll on it.

I've been jonesing for a poll. I really have.

Here's my five:

Crimson Skies
MechAssault
Phantom Dust
Kung Fu Chaos
Midtown Madness 3

Gladius (seconded)
Jade Empire (seconded)
Final Fantasy Tactics (an adult version like the first, not the kiddie DS flavor)
Vagrant Story
Einhander

And would it be too much to ask for a current gen Tenchu game that didn't completely suck?

Do they have to be last gen titles? What if I want a battletoads sequel? smile

1. Beyond Good and Evil - If you've played this, you want a sequel. If you haven't played this and like Zelda style games, go play it and then you'll want a sequel.
2. Psychonauts - There's a lot that could be done with this IP.
3. A non MMO Knights of the Old Republic - Mass Effect is good, but KoToR is the game that made me love star wars again (after ~ 10 years of star wars kicking me in the nuts and me grinning and taking it)
4. SSX. How many tony hawks have been pumped out? But no SSX (Wii version not withstanding)? Where's my xbox 360 version of SSX?
5. Mechassault - The first iteration of this game was AMAZING! It was THE XBox Live game when it game out. And yet - no mechassault on the 360. What's up with that?

Good suggestions so far, here's mine.

Eternal Darkness (seconded)
Midtown Madness 3 (seconded)
Crimson Skies (seconded)
Phantom Dust (seconded)
Jade Empire (thirded)
Chronicles of Riddick
SW KOTOR II
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Gabriel Knights 3
Jet Set Radio Future

I agree.  Mechassault was the only game I played on Live during the first few months of the service.  I'd love to see a online only version of Mechassault 1 on the 360.  Kind of like what Sony did with Warhawk minus some of the sucking.

GunValkyrie.
Chromehounds since it was this gen but a first-gen title with so much more to offer.
Giants: Citizen Kabuto.

PIRATES OF THE CARRIBBEAN!!!

(the rpg from last gen - you know, sea dogs w/ a license)

i LOVED this game, and actually still have it in case it goes bc (never gonna happen frown)

there were some save destroying bugs but in the end i could not get enough of this one - i know, im weird

lesser picks would be kotor, i like the idea of a gladius (though i have a feeling it would be butchered) and hmm oh another of those dark alliance games - those were great! (the marvel ones are good, but just not the same... i think of them as ACTION rpgs while alliance were action RPGs - get it?)

Final Fantasy Tactics (an adult version like the first, not the kiddie DS flavor)

as i mentioned in the wotd thread, i can't figure out why this isn't in the works - so much easier to do, production-wise, than a straight-up rpg, & there's obviously a market for it (see atlus). i just don't get it...

there's one game that always immediately comes to mind for me when this subject's mentioned:

dungeon keeper - on console... but alas, it shall never be...

It shouldn't be that hard to do, should it? I mean, the first game was absolutely brilliant, both single play and multi. I know the sequel was a bit of a flop (mostly because it was more of the same and did not update the brilliant multiplayer enough to interest players who got burnt out), but I can't believe an update for the 360 isn't in development...

Purge: Shin Megami Tensei - Persona series, Digital Devil Saga, Nocture, etc.  It was a joke since they've been in theory working on a PS3 SMT game since 2006, but Persona 4 is STILL for the PS2.

Neuromancer - give me a gritty cyberpunk game with current hardware power.
Shadow of the Beast - Damn this game was edgy for it's time.  What ever happened to Psygnosis?
Another + for Shadow of the Colossus, Mechwarrior, and Crimson Skies.

Flashback (cool side shooter from many years ago)
Alien vs Predator

I love these kinds of posts.  I agree with so many on here, but then in the last three posts in a row Outlaws!  Interstate '76!  Magic Carpet!Awesome.

I'd like Psi-Ops 2, as well.

But there are a ton of others I'd like to see here, as well.  Syndicate, Crimson Skies, Flashback.  Psychonauts, BG&E, Dungeon Keeper (though Overlord was pretty good).  Just so many popping out at me.

Totally agree - without those bugs.  I had about 10 save files going after awhile just so I could get one of them to load.  I'd even not mind if it was the exact same game, as long as it was bug-free.  I cringed every time I hit the Save button;  it took about 3 minutes and half the time just hung up and froze.  I still played it to the end, Doopri, so I'm weird too, lol.

My list, no doubt incomplete, but so far:

Pirates of the Caribbean
Deus Ex
Thief
Riddick
Also - Any Zelda, Anytime
FFXIV (really) *

*With my most recently discovered Final Fantasy addiction taken into account:

FFXIV - but with the game mechanics of FFXII - and done in the world of FFXI (yes, the same exact world, but I'd like to replay FFXI without the juvenile delinquents, so single player like FFXII, or co-op like Fable 2.) That's all.   Roll Eyes

charming, thats the last time i let you follow me anywhere!!!! icon_biggrin

sequels,sequels...i would like to see a sequel to that Lucasarts game i loved ...funny as hell...can't remember what it was called..but yeah that one(it wasnt sam and max, indiana jones, star wars, monkey island or grim fandango...it WAS on the xbox 1,and had a guy who couldnt see so well at the beginning cut scene...as i said it was funny as hell)

EDIT:Armed and Dangerous...thats what it was called, great game

and concerning midtown madness 3,it would be good that microsoft actually make it backwards compatible on the 360 before making a sequel(or do both)

counter strike current gen console version

star wars galaxies 2..done right better this time

and the one current gen sequel that i have been waiting for ,and IMO is needed is (again another Lucasarts game)..

star wars battlefront 3!!!
