I don't think there is nearly enough brown in those shots to be Quake.  It must be a Doom 3 mod....

lol ... we used to LAN on Quake...
"Meet me in the brown room, with the water!"

This game looks amazing though. The one problem with the article that I take issue with is that doom3 had a horror feell. I call bullshit. The first hour - 3 hours did, the last 7 were just repetitive "action".

Let's hope Q4 can stand taller than it's older brother.

Well, Doom 3 was made and marketed as a horror game versus a balls-to-the-wall actioner like Quake is. What I'll call bullshit on is the reviewer stating up front that Quake is the best at anything, let alone the best series EVAH!!! Right there, the fanboi should have been booted from the article and someone objective should... wait, I'm talking about a gaming mag.

At any rate, it's cool that the game picks up within hours of the second one ending. If they really keep the squad feel to it for the most part, then I'll be really happy. I hated in Doom 3 that I never got to hook up with any Marines and kick some demon ass. That would have ruled. smile

Behold the glory of my wildly outdated blog that I ignore!
Filmmaking is vision plus faith plus balls, all 3 of which Hollywood knows little about.
