Anyone know why in the world XBL needs your date of birth, name and phone number?
I am setting up my first account and having to enter all this info seems very odd to just play some online games.
What happens if I put in bogus info?
And lastly, I have a 12+1 card I plan on using.
Am I correct in assuming I can use that to setup my account with or will I need a credit card also?

It's a prepaid card you buy at a store that gives you 12 months + 1 Free month of Live,
so 13 months total.
I just put in bogus info and it went through fine.
I signed up for Silver just to redeem my 1 month free of Gold to check it out.
If I think it's worth it, I'll redeem my 12+1 Gold card.

Is there any way to delete the names listed in the Players tab of the Community section?
The ones that say how long ago you met them?
I went online for like 2 minutes and played 1 quick race in NFSMW and the other players names now show up there.
I dont know who they are and I'll probably never contact them again, so can I delete their names?
If every player from every game you ever play online shows up there, aint that kinda messy?
Whats the purpose of having a Players List AND a Friends list? Arent they showing the same things?
Shouldnt I be given a choice as to whether or not I want to add someones name to any list on my console?
Why am I gonna care about having someones name from a game I tried for 2 seconds a month from now?
Also, is there a way to delete games from the View Games list in the User Profile?
I tried a few games I didnt like and would like to get rid of them to make it easier to get to the games I am keeping. Is every game I try gonna stay in the list, whether I ever play it again or not?
I know these may seem like small problems, but I dont like clutter.
So far it seems that XBL aint too user friendly in helping to maintain streamlined lists.

that list of people you last met,is always there...50 people i think it is...but the list will change next time you go online with the newest people ,its so that you can find someone who you played with last night say,and send a friends request if needed...or a message saying he's crap...its the kind of list that i usually never look through...but its always full...but the people on that list will eventually get deleted by newer people
i dont think there is a way to take of viewed games.....just again,it will go to the bottom of the list when you have played more games....and therfor wont show on your gamecard if you play enough different games

Yeah, the Players tab is just a list of the most recent players you have played with. It allows you to see and play with somebody that you just played with but don't want to add to your Friends list yet, or to leave feedback (positive or negative) after you have finished a match/race/etc without having to remember their gamertag exactly.
You can't remove games from the Played Games list. It is a permanent record of all the games you have played and achievements gained. The only annoyance I've found is that Arcade demos are listed there even though you can't earn achievements with them.
