I saw this over at GameSpot included with their reporting on a story in the Seattle Times about Halo 2 preorders:

Quote
Finally, the final paragraphs of the piece note that downloadable titles for the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade service will cost between "$10 and $20 each." At first glance, this struck GameSpot editors as a rather high price to pay for classic arcade game downloads like Dig Dug. Was this information "speculative" as well? No, said a Microsoft rep. "We have announced an introductory pricing range from $9.99 for basic games to $19.99 for more fully featured titles."

That doesn't sound all that great to me.  I was hoping more like $5 for classic games.  frown  Still no word on when it's coming out.

Considering how easy it is to 'find' some of these old classics, as well as companies selling 10-15 classics for $50 (or cheaper), that price seems outrageously steep.

I just got billed for another year of XBox Live and all I've ever done with it is play Mech Assault. It'd be nice to have some upgrades.

Wow, I had no idea the games would cost that much to play.

Forget it, unless they lower the price. I don't know how they can justify the price when things like Midway Arcade Treasures 2 are coming out next week with a price tag of $20 for a ton of great games...
