Is anyone else out there wishin Xbox would stick around a lil' bit longer?  I mean think about it - we are seein and are about to see flat out THE best games of this console.  The amount of "weak" games seems to be gettin smaller and smaller; the established developers seem to be in their grove and pumpin out stellar titles.  Even games that I'm not interested in I find myself wantin them.  Case and point - I'm not really a racer fan and normally they fall by the wayside with me.  But I'm hard pressed to not run out and buy SRS, or wait for Juiced or NFSU2.  They all draw me.  And FPSs are about to blow up.  I mean think of it Halo 2 - but come on around the same time we have Golden Eye (YES, Golden Eye THE game that made N64 must have - one of THE best multiplay games).  And MechAssault 2 (have you been payin attention to this one???  looks amazin).  Even the "smaller" games look great - readin 'bout Call of Duty made me excited even though I'd normally pass on this kind of thing - same deal with probably 2 or 3 of the new Vietnam games on the way.  I mean there really seems to be an absolute wealth of really good titles out there with more on the way.  (Dont get me started on BC) - POP, Splinter Cell etc etc.  I guess my bottom line is that the must haves are still around and even those lil secondary games are startin to feel more and more like I wanna get my hands on them.  Is this happenin with anyone else?  Do you find yourself drawn to new genres and games youd usually pass up simply because of the quality they ooze?  Sorry if this is long winded but I was just thinkin how excited I am about upcomin games and how they seem to be really uppin the bar.  I hope it all pans out and they deliver.  But seriously I can never remember another time when my wish list has been this long - anyone else with this "prob"???  Wish theyd let the developers have a lil' bit longer to mess 'round with this box, 'cause it seems they're finally really nailin it.

I dunno; developers are pretty experienced with PC games, and moving up to Xbox2 seems to be the right thing to do. I just think it should debut in spring 2006 rather than fight for christmas dollars. I dunno.

Doesn't it seem like there are more, better games out there?  That's my feelin anyway - maybe I'm dumbin done smile but I still get more impressed by more games and I think thats cause the quality is so high right now - I just hope Xbox 2 keeps up that trend ('cause ya hafta admit consoles do start off kinda slow)  I don't wanna miss out on what could have been

Well, when I look at what Fable came out as and what it could be with tougher hardware I'm excited about Xbox 2.  I'm just hoping it doesn't weaken the position of the console long term.  We'll know soon enough....with titles like Morrowind as a launch title, I think it'll do just fine. slywink
