Hello, I was wondering if I could keep my current xbox live account and some how transfer it over to the 360 or does the 360 just use its own new account/software?

I just want to know if I should cancel my xbox live account now or keep it activated.

Thank you

Keep it. It's easy as hell to transfer over and it walks you through it at setup.

When you transfer your existing Xbox Live account over to the 360, is it considered a gold account, or a silver account? When I bought my 360, the guy at Best Buy told me that I had to buy the XBL Gold pack even though I already have an account for the first Xbox. Seemed kind of suspicious, so I passed on getting it.

It's gold.

It was this moment that took the movie from being a little ho-hum to “holy shit, did that shark just eat a plane!?”

Can you add on the 30 day Gold trial that comes with 360 to your existing 1 year account?
