Do you work for Microsoft? If yes, I hate you. If no, I hate you still. You contribute nothing to this forum. All you do is piss and moan about Sony "fanbois." Go back to gamefaqs and grow the fuck up.

Setting aside the "fanboy" claims, my experience is that the 360 defective stories are way over-exagerrated. As such, 3% seems like it may be accurate. FWIW, in my store we've had one legitimate defective out of 40, which works out to 3%. Other stores in my district are seeing similar numbers.

The next time some whiney Sony Fanboi blah blah blah... In another thread I knew you Sony Fanbois blah blah blah... In another threadJealous Sony Fanbois blah blah blah... In still another threadThe Sony fanbois blah blah blah... That's four! It's like a drinking game! What do you guys think? I'm thinking Harry is 16 maybe 17 years old based on the repetitive use of "fanboi" which was popular for about a week in 2002 on the IGN boards. That would have made him around 13 which is a pretty impressionable age.

I will say the same thing I said at OO. You know, Harry you could become a member of the community and talk about other stuff. Every post doesn't need to be about evil Sony fanboys or how Microsoft is great.
For goodness sake man, play a game! Tell us what you thought of it! Something, anything!

Looks like I hit a nerve.
I am impressed that you Sony Fanbois are tracking my posts.
Do you stalk full time or just when your Mommy tells you that you have to quit playin on your console and go do your homework?
Like I said, The failure rate for the XBox is around 3%.
Next whine please!

I am posting what I wish to post within the rules set forth by the forum.
Should I post a poll of what K-Rad K00l game I am playing right now instead?
Does community mean kissing Sony Fanboi butt?

I'm guessing the "F" in his name actually stands for "fanboi." That'd be just too ironic though.

The Xbox 360 in my living room that I camped out for overnight in 40 degree weather proves I am not a SONY fanboy. It is just annoying that all you do is come in here and post about the same old shit. I shouldnt have responded to anything, I should have realized that is what you were going for. So if that gets you off, enjoy.

Come up with proof that hasn't been reported and re-reported quoting the same vague source and I'll listen. Otherwise this is getting to the trollish point.

And the big thing is - it doesn't matter
From all the reports I have read MS has been great to deal with about repairing the units so even if it is huge numbers they are taking responsiblity.

I posted the source one time in the initial post. I see no other mention of this source in any of the other GamingTrend Forums. How exactly is that trolling? -HFI-

Ban this miserable fuck. Just what exactly have I done to be banned? What forum rules have I broken? I posted on topic and seem to have hit a few nerves. I don't see any of you posting proof that the PS2 had a lower hardware failure rate when it came out. Look at the subject header. A sure sign that you are losing is when you attack the messenger because you can't refute the message. -HFI-

Consistent trolling deserves a ban. I heartily agree.
Also to quote the COC; "Personal attacks are simply not allowed."

-HFI- I'm stuck at work but I can post the receipts for the 8 PS2s that have failed on me since launch. (Thank GOD for replacement warranties) For me personally, Sony hardware has failed in a 8 to 1 ratio vs. Microsoft. There is my source. On top of that, as a manager at EB, when we launched we sold out of PS2s. The vast majority (over 75%) of them came back the very next day after etching grooves into CDs by being placed vertically, or a simple failure to boot any CD in any configuration. I had to ring the returns and tell people we didn't have replacements for them. THere is my second source.

I know I shouldn't, but... I'm stuck at work but I can post the receipts for the 8 PS2s that have failed on me since launch. (Thank GOD for replacement warranties) For me personally, Sony hardware has failed in a 8 to 1 ratio vs. Microsoft. There is my source. And as a counter to that, I will submit my launch PS2 that still works absolutely fine, that has never once had any sort of technical issue, and that I have put thousands more hours into that I ever will my X-Box. In fact, it sits next to my third X-Box - as KD said, thank god for replacement warranties - which I've had nothing but trouble with and am seriously considering replacing again. (I wonder if that makes me a Sony fanboi, according to our insightful new troll. Hmmm...) Both systems are going to have their share have defective units, just like any other electronic item. Unless it is a massive percentage of the product as a whole, I don't think it is any reflection as to the quality of either unit. Besides, I've always wondered how many of the 'failures' for any units are due to simple abuse. I can't imagine any console surviving the beating I've seen them take from kids.

That is the subject of this thread. No, the subject--as you wrote it--is the failure rate of the 360, not whether it's more or less than the failure rate of the PS2. Your posts might be better received were you to understand what you were writing. 3% is certainly within expected parameters. The fact that a majority percentage of those affected go on message boards to bitch probably skews the perception.

I doubt Atari had a 3% failure rate. My 2600 was helluva tough and all you had to do to fix any problem was to hit the reset switch.
I bet somewhere, some kid is playing the holla out of that thing right now. MS can kiss Atari's supremacy's butt, ya heard?!
Oh and my Burgertime handheld still works 20 years later. I doubt those had anything near a 3% failure rate.
Still more proof that M$ make garbage electronics.
Finally, I had taco bell the other day. A Grilled Stuft Burrito. Not one of those has ever failed me.
I think there's a lesson for the MS in there too. They r teh suxx0r. TB = teh m2xx0r!

That is the subject of this thread. Actually, no it's not. The subject of this thread was that the 360's failure rate isn't as bad as it's being made out to be. The failure rate of the PS2 is tangential to your initial argument at best. If your primary purpose was to compare failure rates of the two devices, you did a miserable job of communicating that. Which would give you a failure rate higher than Sony and Microsoft's combined. You have to admit this topic woke every one up. Again, you miss the ball. Your "topic" didn't wake anyone up. Your petty insistence on turning every opinion into a Microsoft vs. Sony cliche is what people are reacting to.
