So where is the best place to get one of these things? Looks like EB and GS do bundles only? And what about the HD? Is it just a standard IDE or SATA drive? If so is there a maximum drive size? I will probably just install my own HD into the thing (if its possible?)
I'd like to just pick up the basic system with maybe a few accessories NOT including the HD (because I'd like to install it myself) and NO games. Any internet farmers out there know what the deal is? Whats the best online resource for checking out prices and bundles/non-bundles for this thing?

Honestly? At this point most gaming-only stores such as Gamestop and EB have sold out of their initial shipment of 360s. I would recommend checking out Toys-R-Us, WalMart, Sam Goody's, or Target on release day. Toys-R-Us usually gets a large allocation of new systems, yet for some reason most people never think to check there. When the PSP came out, almost everybody in San Diego was sold out yet the Toys-R-Us had 20+ sitting on the shelves collecting dust...

I'm going to doubt you can just slap on any HD onto the Xbox 360 much like you can't with the Xbox without a mod chip.
The hard drive is detachable on the side of the 360.

G.R.O.S.S. ... Get Rid Of Smelly Slimy girls. Yeah. I'd preorder anyways. I bet a ton of people preorder in several locations, and then camp out at one location and don't pick up their pre-order at the other location. Since you're on the list, you'd be next in line if they call to cancel it. |
